FINDING JOY IN JEWISH HOLIDAYS
Our Rabbis: Fryer Bodzin; Kogan; Skolnik and Wise will be teaching at our synagogues throughout the year on our holiday traditions. The first panel discussion will be on Sunday, September 14 @ 10:00 AM @ Forest Hills JC. 106-06 Queens Blvd. 718-263-7000. The topic is “Introduction to Jewish Holidays.”
This series will be free of charge and open to the entire community. Please RSVP to each hosting community so we can plan accordingly.
Torah Mantle and Bimah Cover Rededication
There has been an excellent response to our campaign to buy new ornamental covers for our Torahs and various bimah tables in both the main sanctuary and the Wasserman Chapel, but there are still choice items available. Please call the office if you want to take advantage of this once in a generation event to make your impact on those items that are such a part of our synagogue services.
We are offering an opportunity to help ICCJ buy new covers and to personally dedicate them. Your donation will entitle you to an appropriate inscription embroidered on the cover to honor or memorialize a person or event of your choice.
Please respond quicly so that we can have these items made and ready for our tenth anniversary celebration in September.
| Rabbi, I Have a Question…
Email your questions to Rabbi Fryer Bodzin.Rabbirfb@iccj2004.org by the 15th of the month, and they will be answered during services on the first Shabbat of each month.
